In “Look at God” S5 / E64 of I Took a Right Turn: We open up talking about the weather here in the Promised Land, we’re moving under another of this summer’s Heat Domes with extreme heat and humidity. We talk about praying for the lost and allowing God to guide into a deeper relationship with Him. We ask for prayers and remind people they can send their prayer requests to us. Our musical portion of the podcast begins with an old song that has blessed generations of believers and led multitudes to Christ, There’s Power in the Blood. Next a song we picked up from services at Family Worship Center, the home church of Jimmy Swaggart Ministries, One More Mountain to Climb. Then comes a song that came to us from our time in the Catholic Charismatic Revival, God’s Got an Army. Finally, we share another of our homegrown songs, one that God gave while we were pastoring a church in Apache Junction Arizona, Battlefield.
Looking into God’s Holy Word we turn to Romans 12:1-2 where we find what many new and even some old believers hope to find in Scripture, “Kere’s what I want you to do …” We see here that following God means doing what He tells us in His Holy Word.
