Waiting

In “Waiting” S5 / E57 of I Took a Right Turn: Opening up with our usual comments on the weather in the  Promised Land we move on to speaking about the Lord and His healing touch, how we all encounter times when we need that.  We ask for prayers as Rosalie faces a complicated surgical procedure.  We also remind everyone they can send their prayer requests to us through our website itookarightturn.com.  The musical portion of the podcast today begins with a song that sometimes stays in my head for days afterwards.  This is a not-so-old old song that has blessed believers and led multitudes to trust in Christ, Through it All.  Next a song that has been sung in revivals and tent crusades for generations, Got Any Rivers.  Then comes a song that speaks about how our life in Christ should be lived if we want to experience His power, They That Wait Upon the Lord.  Finally, we share another of our homegrown songs, one that speaks of where we are as we surrender in love and wait: All Things in God’s Time. 

Next, we move on to, “A Miracle Moment.”  This week, we share what is a series of miracles surrounding when and how Robert was baptized in the Holy Spirit

After this, looking into God’s Holy Word we turn to Isaiah 40:31 as we consider how some spiritually powerful songs are merely portions of scripture put to music and how this singing of scripture is one of the oldest ways to both praise God and memorize His Word.

Then Robert reads another poem from his second book of poetry, Floating Through Time, “Pause.”  Each episode this season includes a poem from this book.
