We must learn
to distinguish God’s voice
from all the other voices
in the world.
For when
the shaking comes,
and it will come,
knowing His voice
and following Him
will be
the only way to safety.
The Bible
is God’s voice,
given to us in writing,
a verbalized
propositional expression
of His revelation
to humanity.
It is
our manual for living
on the planet earth.
It’s filled
with the greatest wisdom
ever revealed.
It teaches us
how humans and society
are supposed to work
and
how they really work
and
what it means to be human.
It shows us
our potential
and what causes
all our problems.
And still
as wonderful as the Bible is
it is meant to lead us to God,
not take His place.
We are called to worship,
the Lord of the Book
Not the Book of the Lord.
Only in Christ
can we learn,
what we are
and what
we are living for.
